Between 1850 and 1950, thousands of young women followed the herring fleets around the coast, gutting and packing millions of fish a week. Many of them came from the islands. Following the Fish brings their stories together at Museum nan Eilean in Lews Castle. The museum has added objects and papers from its own fishing collections, some on show for the first time, alongside stories and pictures from the local community. There's plenty for children to get their hands on too. It's open Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 5pm, until 21 November, with entry by donation.
