Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.
Christine Bovill brings the songs of Piaf and Brel to Aboyne. She made her name with the sell-out show PIAF, and her show Paris takes you back to the golden age of French song, with the songs and stories of Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Barbara and Juliette Gréco sung with drama, heart and a little mischief. She plays the Deeside Community Theatre at the community centre on Bridgeview Road on Saturday 10 October at 7.30pm, as part of a North East Arts Touring tour. You're welcome to bring a French picnic of cheese and baguettes for the interval, and to come in French dress, beret and all. Tickets are £16 for adults and £10 for under-18s from the North East Arts Touring website.
