Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.
Braemar is a lovely place to spend the last weekend of September, and this year there's a book festival to go with the hills. The Braemar Literary Festival, now in its fifth year, fills St Margaret's, the Fife Arms, the village hall, the kirk and the Highland Games Centre. You can hear Jojo Moyes, Val McDermid, Bonnie Garmus, Louise Welsh and Hugh Bonneville, among others. Tom Parker Bowles also gives a first look at his new cookbook. Book ahead for the big names, and bring your boots for the hills between talks. The festival runs from 25 to 27 September.
