As the evenings close in, Cromlix gives its Glasshouse over to a slow afternoon with Bamford, whose products have been rooted in nature for 25 years and whose thinking lies behind the hotel's Woodland Retreat. Kim Murray, who owns Cromlix with Andy Murray, talks with Bamford about where the brand began, what nature means to them both and how the two came to work together, with a few simple ways to go into the festive season calmer and better rested. A glass of champagne starts it, then afternoon tea with warm scones and festive treats, and you go home with a Bamford gift bag.

Thursday 26 November, 12 noon to 3pm, the Glasshouse at Cromlix, Kinbuck, by Dunblane. £140 a person, booked on 01786 820310 or at events@cromlix.com.
