Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.

Aboyne Highland Games began in 1867 and have run every year apart from the two world wars. They call themselves the traditional games. The green sits in the middle of the village, about 30 miles west of Aberdeen on the A93, and the whole thing happens there. Piping and the youth races start at half ten. Pipe bands march through Aboyne from eleven, then the Chieftain's banner goes up at noon. The 56lb weight for distance is a Scottish Championship event, thrown at half three. Beating retreat closes the day at five.
