Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.
A Play, A Pie and A Pint is a lunchtime of a brand new play, a pie and a drink, all in one ticket. This October it brings The Whaler's Wife to the Gaiety in Ayr. Set in Orkney in the 1820s, it follows three women keeping their harbour town going while their husbands hunt whales in Arctic waters, until a woman goes missing and old secrets start to wash up. It's full of sea shanties, humour and Orkney folklore. Shows are in the Gaiety Studio at 1pm from Tuesday 6 to Saturday 10 October, with an extra 6pm show on Friday 9 October, and tickets are £19.50 including your pie and drink.
