Some of Perthshire's loveliest walks lead to waterfalls tumbling through wooded gorges. You can follow a chain of falls planted with trees after a poem by Robert Burns, walk an old path to a pair of falls above Loch Tay, or watch the rapids where two rivers meet near Pitlochry. They're at their most spectacular after rain and most colourful in autumn, when the woods turn gold and red. Wear sturdy shoes, as the paths can be steep and slippery, and keep a camera handy.
