Concorde at East Fortune.
Museums here are small, friendly and full of local stories, with one big exception. On a wartime airfield at East Fortune, the national collection of aircraft fills the old hangars, and you can walk right under the white delta wing of Concorde. In North Berwick, volunteers run a free museum of the town and its coastal villages, from seabirds to an old beach hut. In Dunbar, the 16th-century tolbooth with its witch's hat tower holds a free museum and gallery of the town's past. Give the airfield most of a day, and save the town museums for a wet afternoon.
You are up to date.
That is everything for today. Tomorrow's first posts go up in the morning. Or have the best of it in your inbox each morning in the Daily.
