Inside Borradill House.

Borradill House is a big, welcoming cabin in 25 acres of wild woodland on the Ardnamurchan peninsula, with picture windows across Loch Sunart to the islands and hills. It was crafted in Sweden and brought here by sea and road, and inside it's warm with timber panelling, a log fire, a reading nook and a movie snug. It sleeps four to six, with a big kitchen, a long table for ten and a large deck over the sea loch.

Oakwoods, sea lochs and the end of the road at Ardnamurchan Point.

Oakwoods run down to Loch Sunart at Glenborrodale, and the road ends at Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly point of mainland Britain.

Inside The Old School.

The Old School sits on the bay of Camas na Croise, with what the owners call some of the best views on the west coast of Scotland. It's a single-storey cottage for four: a double with its own bathroom, a twin, a second bathroom, and an open living room, dining area and kitchen. There's a wood-burning stove, and a fenced garden with an iron gate onto the shore. Guests have seen otters in the bay, stags on the lawn and eagles overhead. Up to two dogs are welcome.
