Aberdeen
Flat whites on the university cobbles.
Good coffee is easy to find in Aberdeen, from the university quarter to the beach. On the cobbled High Street of Old Aberdeen there's an independent coffee shop known for its cakes and crêpes. In the west end, a bright basement café looks over the gardens of Rubislaw Terrace. There's a coffee shop with armchairs for reading, a bookshop café on Belmont Street and a black trailer pouring speciality coffee on the esplanade at weekends. Out at Cults, a converted container serves walkers and cyclists on the Deeside Way. Take a cup down to the sea if the sun is out.
You are up to date.
That is everything for today. Tomorrow's first posts go up in the morning. Or have the best of it in your inbox each morning in the Daily.
