Three Scottish brothers, Ewan, Jamie, and Lachlan Maclean, have begun a 14,000 km rowing journey across the Pacific Ocean. They aim to set a world record for the fastest non-stop, unsupported row from Peru to Australia. Departing from Lima, they will spend over 120 days at sea, rowing in two-hour shifts without resupplies or a safety boat. Their custom-built vessel, named Rose Emily, honours their late sister. The brothers hope to raise £1 million for clean water projects in Madagascar.
