Staffa’s landing jetty has undergone a £1.6 million overhaul, with work beginning last autumn and wrapping up in spring. The National Trust for Scotland aimed to address wear from wind, rain, and sea spray.

Contractors replaced concrete jetty sections, upgraded steps, and reinforced nearby footpaths. The project was timed to avoid sensitive bird nesting periods and protect the island’s wildlife. Access was closed for several months while work finished.

The jetty has now fully reopened.
