Michael Wells and Adair Simpson, former leaders at Carnoustie Links, are spearheading The Ancient Links Golf Company, focused on restoring iconic courses in Angus and Fife. They have taken ownership of Scotscraig Golf Club and are seeking member approval to bring Forfar Golf Club into the fold.

Established in 1855, Forfar is recognised as the world’s first golf course to feature 18 holes from its inception. The plan prioritises modern investment in facilities while preserving the traditions and heritage of longstanding members.

Wells, with experience at the R&A, and Simpson aim to create a network of historic Scottish links, run as sustainable private clubs.
