For the first time, Stirling Castle is offering daily guided tours of areas normally closed to the public. Visitors can explore around 10 hidden spaces, including the wall walk above the Great Hall, the caponiers (covered firing galleries) used by riflemen, and the King’s Closet, possibly used by Mary, Queen of Scots, for private prayer. The route may include medieval graffiti, the 18th-century Governor’s Kitchen, and the paths taken by staff to serve royal banquets. Tours are limited to 12 people and depend on the weather.
