Dundee’s historic Discovery Point has secured £3.55 million from the National Lottery to kick off the next phase of its transformation. Over the next few years, two new galleries will open to explore Antarctica and the scientific voyages of the ship RRS Discovery, alongside a panoramic riverside bistro and improved learning spaces. The ship herself will be restored, supported by a bespoke cradle as she approaches her 125th year in 2026. The museum stays open while work runs from around 2026 through 2028.
