The Winter Words Festival returns to Pitlochry Festival Theatre from 12–15 February 2026, marking the 22nd edition of this beloved literary event. Curated by artistic director Alan Cumming, the four-day programme features leading authors, poets, broadcasters and chefs in a celebration of Scotland’s literary and cultural heritage. Highlights include conversations, readings, workshops, dramatic readings, and delicious literary lunches with award-winning chefs, alongside stimulating discussions on history, climate, photography, and storytelling.
