Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.

The Royal National Mòd is Gaelic culture's great gathering, and this year it comes to Glasgow from 9 to 17 October. Held somewhere different every October since 1892, it brings choirs, solo singers, pipers, fiddlers and poets together to compete through the day, and at night the same people fill the ceilidhs and fringe events.
You don't need a word of Gaelic to love it. The competitions are open for anyone to sit in on, and a choir singing a psalm in Gaelic is worth the trip on its own. Keep an evening free for a ceilidh while you're there.
