Skipness Festival of Light is a community art project led by the Lightness Art Collective, inviting people to take part in creating illuminated artworks for a coastal exhibition. The festival centres on community crafted ships displayed along Skipness beach, lit using solar power and forming an evening light installation. Alongside the visual elements, the project celebrates local stories, music and shared creativity, drawing on themes of renewal and seasonal change. The exhibition brings together residents and visitors to experience art outdoors, encouraging reflection, participation and connection with the landscape and community.
