Turner in January returns with a free annual display of watercolours by JMW Turner from the Vaughan Bequest. Shown only during January, the exhibition follows the original conditions set by collector Henry Vaughan, limiting display to the darkest time of year to protect the works. The exhibition has become a much anticipated fixture in Scotland’s cultural calendar. The 2026 presentation includes the opportunity to see Norham Castle, Sunrise, on special loan, alongside other works spanning Turner’s career and watercolour practice.
