Introduction
Offering incredible, panoramic views of Galloway, Murray’s Monument is dedicated to the memory of Arthur Murray, a young shepherd who would later become a Professor of Oriental Languages at the University of Edinburgh. From the monuments place on the hillside, you can even see Dunkitterick Cottage, where Murray was born.
