Frankie's Fish and Chips
Welcome
Frankie's sits by the water at Brae, half an hour north of Lerwick, and has spent years being named the best chip shop in Scotland by people who eat a great many chips.
The reason is the fish: haddock and cod landed at Shetland ports, mussels from Vidlin, scallops hand-dived. The batter is light rather than armoured, and there is a full menu beyond it: a mussel pot, scallops in garlic butter, fish teas. Eat in at the tables looking over Busta Voe, or take it away and find a bench.
