The festival takes place across Balfron over three days. It opens with Bookbug storytime for toddlers and the Book Caterpillar writing session for children at the library. There are storytime sessions for primary school children, a book art workshop with Lorna Mackay, and author talks including The Hebridean Baker, Gill Sims - What Mummy Drinks. A creative writing workshop with Dr Liam Bell takes place at McLintock Hall and The Highland Hutter will also be attending. Events are held across the library, halls, and other community spaces throughout the village.
