Argyll and Bute, Argyll and Bute, Oban
Argyll Food Festival
Introduction
This two-day food and drink event takes place at the Corran Halls in Oban at the end of September. It brings together producers from across Argyll, with stalls selling seafood, cheeses, preserves, baking, coffee, and whisky. The setup is straightforward. Stalls indoors and out, seating areas, and space to walk between tastings. Demonstrations from local chefs run at intervals through both days. Some producers run short talks or informal Q&As alongside samples. Entry is ticketed, with the option to buy at the door. Everything takes place within walking distance of Oban’s centre. The harbour, ferry terminal, and train station are all nearby. The event is geared toward both locals and visitors. It’s not flashy, but it’s well-run and well attended. Most people stay for a couple of hours, though there’s enough to fill the day. Dogs aren’t allowed inside the venue halls. Last entries usually close around 3.30pm.
