An Fenten
Mull and Cornwall have more in common than you might think, and An Fenten sets out to show it.
For one lunchtime during the Arran Festival of Food and Drink, Lochranza and Catacol Village Hall becomes a zero waste café. Eco Savvy runs it, with home-made seasonal soup, cakes, and tea and coffee made with Arran Dairies milk. Local gardeners and growers bring along their spare autumn fruit and veg, and there are dry goods and tins for sale at a fair price too. Everyone is welcome. You can also pick up a Festival Passport at the café and collect a stamp for it. It runs from 12 noon to 2pm on Tuesday 27 October, at the village hall in Lochranza.

The Citizens Theatre has stood in the Gorbals since 1878, and after a long rebuild you can now go behind the scenes on one of its heritage tours.

Every October the pines of Faskally Wood, a mile or so out of Pitlochry, are lit and scored for a month, and people walk through them after dark.
