Winter Words Festival

The Winter Words Festival returns to Pitlochry Festival Theatre from 12–15 February 2026, marking the 22nd edition of this beloved literary event. Curated by artistic director Alan Cumming, the four-day programme features leading authors, poets, broadcasters and chefs in a celebration of Scotland’s literary and cultural heritage. There are conversations, readings, workshops and dramatic readings, literary lunches with award-winning chefs, and talks on history, climate, photography and storytelling, all held around the theatre.
