Dundee Winter Brew Fest
Dark nights call for dark beer, and Dundee Brew Fest has a new winter edition to go with them.

Up on the Abbey Craig, the National Wallace Monument hands its Keeper's Lodge over to Santa for the December weekends. Each session lasts about twenty minutes: Santa reads a Christmas story, the children play a few festive games, there is a chance for a photograph, and every child goes home with a goodie bag. The ticket also lets you into the monument, so you can climb to the Crown for the view over Stirling afterwards. Sessions suit children from two to eleven. On 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20 December, from 11am to just before 3pm, £5 each including adults (under-twos free), booked online in advance. The lodge has steps, so it does not suit wheelchairs or pushchairs.
