Am Meall (The Lump), Portree, Isle of Skye

Skye Live Festival 2025 brings three days of music, culture, and celebration to one of Scotland’s most stunning locations. Held on Am Meall, a natural amphitheatre overlooking Portree Harbour, the festival combines world-class performances with the beauty of Skye’s iconic landscapes, including views of the Cuillin Ridge and The Old Man of Storr.

The event begins on Thursday, 8 May, with an opening concert featuring Skipinnish and Beth Malcolm, a mix of traditional and contemporary Scottish music. The main festival follows on Friday and Saturday with a line-up of live acts and DJs. Highlights include Elephant Sessions, Project Smok, Kinnaris Quintet, and Talisk, delivering high-energy performances spanning folk, electronic, and contemporary styles. DJs like Optimo (Espacio) and Eclair Fifi keep things going well into the evening.

The festival site, located at The Lump in Portree, features a Big Top tent for the main stage and an outdoor setup that embraces its spectacular surroundings. As an all-standing event, it’s designed to bring people together in a relaxed, energetic space.

Accommodation options include a pop-up campsite in Portree, just a short 15-20 minute walk from the festival. Open from Thursday afternoon to Sunday midday, the campsite is ideal for tent camping, with basic facilities such as toilets and fresh water available. For those arriving by car, parking is available in Portree, with extended stay options at Bayfield West Car Park during the festival.

The festival welcomes attendees of all ages, with under-18s required to be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 21 or over. Guardianship forms are necessary and will be provided before the event.
