Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.

For one Saturday in October the Burrell Collection steps back into the Middle Ages, and it's a good day out for a family. Medieval Day fills the museum and its corner of Pollok Country Park with a falconry display, medieval music, crafts and objects you can handle, and there are talks and tours, some of them into the museum's stores. The big show is Battle at the Burrell, a Shakespeare-meets-wrestling take on Joan of Arc inspired by the collection's French treasures and armour. It's free and drop-in on 17 October from 11am to 4pm, so there's no need to book.
