Dornoch's Autumn Highland Festival runs from 23 October to 5 November, with a pumpkin patch and family fun, historic talks and tours, local produce and special menus, music and dance, workshops and living history reenactments, and evenings out looking for the aurora under dark skies. The Dornoch Whisky Festival fills the first weekend, and the fortnight finishes with the torchlight parade and bonfire on Bonfire Night.
