Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival
Edinburgh's autumn gets a taste of Spain and Latin America as the Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival returns for its 13th year.

The Alyth Arches are usually padlocked, so these tours are a rare chance to step inside the ruins of the town's medieval church. The arches date from the 15th century, on a church site founded by St Moluag in the 6th century. Neil Paterson, an amateur historian and stone carver, mixes careful research with a touch of theatre. You'll hear about the stool of repentance, the grave of the inventor known as the Alyth Genius, and an 18th-century duel.
The tours are free and run on 26 September, 17 October, 14 November and 12 December, carrying on into 2027. You'll find the details on the Alyth Arches Tours Facebook page.
