Lights at the edge.

Some of the most dramatic walks on Skye end at a lighthouse. The most famous stands at the very western tip of the island, where the path drops down steep cliffs to a white tower and a view out to the Outer Hebrides. Another small light sits on a rocky point beside an Iron Age fort above the sea. Both are wonderful at sunset, when the sky goes gold over the islands, but take care on the paths and stay well back from the cliff edges, especially in the wind.
