Firesides and firth views at Balintore.

On the Seaboard coast, the inn at Balintore is a village inn in the old sense: a bar, a dining room and rooms for the night. It sits by the harbour in the middle of the three fishing villages, a long, low stone building with the Moray Firth beyond. Inside there is a fire for cooler days, outside a beer garden for the sun, and the portions are generous. The bronze Mermaid of the North sits on her rock nearby, and many people come in straight from seeing her. Hours change through the year, so check before you go.
