Lights at the edges of Galloway.

Dumfries and Galloway's lighthouses stand at the very edges of Scotland. On the Mull of Galloway, Robert Stevenson's tower of 1830 sits on the last cliff before the sea, with views to Ireland and the Isle of Man. On the Solway coast, a square white tower of 1749 is one of the oldest lights in the country. Climb to the top of the Mull light on a clear day, and watch for seabirds on the cliffs.
