A sandwich to carry down to the beach is one of the simple pleasures of a day by the sea, and Pat's in Portobello is made for it.
It's a deli and sandwich shop at 125 Portobello High Street. Sandwiches are made to order on Company Bakery bread. The meat comes from Findlay's, and the cured meats and cheese come from the Sardinian supplier Capo Caccia. The shelves carry local makers such as Chilli Coast and Slow Sauce. The owners fitted out the shop themselves, down to the counter. There's no seating inside, so take your sandwich down to the beach.
