Jim Clark Motorsport Museum

A museum in Duns to Jim Clark, Scotland's first Formula One world champion, with his Lotus cars, trophies and memorabilia.

Welcome

Jim Clark, from the Borders, became one of the greatest racing drivers the world has seen.

He was Scotland's first Formula One world champion, winning the title in 1963 and again in 1965, and he won the Indianapolis 500 too. This museum in Duns is his memorial.

The cars are the stars. On show are some of the Lotus machines he raced, among them the Lotus 33 and 35 and a Lotus Cortina, alongside his trophies, overalls, photographs and memorabilia. Interactive displays tell the story of his career, and there is a racing simulator for anyone who wants to try their own hand, for an extra fee.

The museum is accessible throughout, with disabled toilets and free parking on the street outside. It opens daily except Wednesdays from April to October, with shorter hours in March and November.
