Bunessan Mill

Welcome

Bunessan Mill is the ruin of the old grain mill at Bunessan, on the Ross of Mull, and you can walk right in.

The Ross of Mull Historical Centre has its cottage next door. The centre has stabilised the ruins and landscaped the inside so you can explore it. Seven boards by local artist Stephen Raw and illustrator Jonathan Bean show how the mill may have looked at work. A mill stood here by 1744, and it ran until 1914, when the last miller joined the Scots Guards. Call in at the historical centre next door to round off your visit.
