On the High Street in Peebles, Brevity is a small, friendly clothes shop.
It sells its own collections of Italian clothing for women of all ages and sizes, from linen and cotton dresses in summer to knitwear in the colder months, well made and fairly priced.
The stock follows the seasons. In summer the rails fill with linen and cotton dresses, tops, tunics and trousers, easy clothes for warm days; when the weather turns, soft Italian knitwear takes over. The window shows off the latest pieces, and the shop is at number 50, near the middle of the street, easy to find on a stroll through town. If you are looking for something in particular, the team can be reached by phone before you visit.
Brevity opens Monday to Saturday, and on Sunday afternoons in season. Peebles itself is a lovely town for a wander, and the old Cross Kirk is a few streets away.
