Dalscone Farm Fun – Soft Play, Pedal Cars and Lunch
A day.
The route
Dalscone Farm Fun, on the north-east edge of Dumfries, keeps small children busy whatever the weather.
There's a huge soft play with its own toddler zone, little cars to pedal round indoor tracks and a diner for lunch, and outside there's a farm park with animals and a giant castle to climb. It's an easy day with a baby or a toddler, and older children have plenty to do too.

A morning in the soft play, lunch in the diner, and time outside with the animals and the castle climbing frame when the farm park is open.
About five hours

Dalscone Farm Fun
Dalscone Farm Fun is on the A701 Edinburgh Road, a few yards past the roundabout off the A75 on the north-east edge of Dumfries, with plenty of free parking. It's open all year, Monday to Saturday from 9.15am to 5pm, and shut on Sundays, and tickets must be booked online before you go. Indoors, the big soft play has a Toddler Zone for under-4s, with a soft roundabout, slides and giant Lego blocks, and a multi-level frame with drop and spiral slides for ages 4 to 11; socks must be worn. The Street, between the soft play and the farm park, has pedal and motorised vehicles on indoor tracks. From April to October the farm park outside opens too, with a giant castle climbing frame, a Cresta Run with a toddler section, a sandpit, mini golf, go-karts, an animal barn and an Exotic Animal House. The farm says its farm park is fully accessible for prams and wheelchairs. Lunch is in the Dalscone Diner, open the same hours, with breakfasts, lunches and a cake cabinet with its own strawberry tarts. Indoor tables are kept for people buying food there, and picnics are welcome in the farm park. Dogs aren't allowed. Over Christmas and New Year, check before going.
If it rains
The soft play, the indoor pedal tracks and the diner are all indoors; on a wet day in the farm park's season, keep to them.
