Where the Open Has Been Played
Scotland is where the Open began, and you can still tee off where it has been won. These are links where golf's oldest major has been played, and each still takes visitors, some on set days only.

Walking the same fairways as the champions is one of the great thrills in golf, and in Scotland it's easier than you might think. The Open was first played here in 1860, and the links where it has been won since are still very much in use, with room for visitors alongside the members.
Each one has its own story, from a round that ends over the most famous little bridge in golf to a finishing stretch that has decided more than one championship. Some are open to anyone who books, and some keep a few days aside for visitors, so plan ahead and book early, especially for the summer.
